Action RPG With Fast-paced Combat and Dark Scenery; Unawake Trailer
Unawake is an upcoming game from RealityArts, featuring hellishly fast gameplay and settings straight out of Dark Souls. The title, due out in 2023, has just received its first trailer.
- Dark FPP action RPG Unawake has received a trailer; the game is expected to come out in late 2023.
- The game is being developed by RealityArts Studio, which has decided to cooperate with Toplitz Productions. Both parties speak very positively about this joining of forces.
Turkish studio RealityArts has joined forces with indie game publisher Toplitz Productions (responsible for, among other things, Serum). The team's new game, titled Unawake, is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, and it's clear from the promotional graphics that this engine was chosen for a reason. This surreal, dark, first-person shooter looks truly amazing. You can find out for yourself by watching the announcement trailer.
In Unawake the main plot is to be the fight between the forces of Heaven and Hell. The player, as a representative of the human race, will be tasked with scouring an ancient city. There they will face nightmarish monsters, and the goal of these struggles will be to save humanity from annihilation. Unawake combines elements of science fiction, history and fantasy.
The game will be a first-person RPG, emphasizing action and character progression. In fact, progression is the key word to describe Unawake. The game will offer more than 20 skills that will significantly change the gameplay and influence how clashes will be played out. Armaments is also expected to be an important element of Unawake - by customizing them, we will gain a significant advantage over our opponents. We will fight with melee weapons (something like axes, mace, swords) or with the use of a bow. So far no footage directly from the gameplay has been made available, although a bit of combat can be seen on the trailer attached to the news. Perhaps the developers will share new information about the game soon. They have some time to do so, as Unawake is scheduled to come out at the end of 2023.
Both the developer and the publisher are speaking positively about Unawake. Head of business development at Toplitz Productions, Stefan Berger, says:
"Creative vision of Unawake and the technical expertise of Reality Arts convinced us to support this project. With this visually impressive action game, we can expand our portfolio and attract new players to Toplitz Productions' titles."
Reality Arts Studio co-founder Ismael Kemal Ciftcioglu, meanwhile, claims:
"Talks with Toplitz have been going in the right direction from the beginning. We still have full creative freedom and can fully focus on development. We are getting support from the entire Toplitz team. I know I can rely on their years of experience, (...) to present Unawake to as many players as possible."
Unawake will be released next year on PC, and you can already add the game to your wish list on Steam. Hopefully, everything will go according to plan and we will experience the exciting clashes with dark monsters in 2023.
