Total War: Warhammer 3 Update 1.1 Improves Realm of Chaos
The highly anticipated update 1.1 for Total War: Warhammer 3 has been released, bringing many improvements as well as a refresh to the Realm of Chaos.
Creative Assembly released a new update for Total War: Warhammer III. The patch was marked as 1.1 and it brings several hundred changes.
- The Realm of Chaos mechanics have been extensively reworked - the effects of negative traits have been halved and their effect on Legendary Lords when they are in the domain of their Chaos deity has been removed. Players can now build chains of protective buildings to prevent chaos rifts from spawning in the region.
- Engine optimization improved.
- Removed several issues that caused the game to crash.
- Fixed bugs that prevented some players from completing the prologue.
- Implemented changes to increase the response speed of units. This will be further improved in the future.
- Improved unit balance for all factions.
- Two new battlefields for Domination mode (Arnheim and Battle for Itza) returned.
- Domination mode has gained better supply mechanisms and larger starting armies.
These are only selected changes from a huge list of fixes and new features. The devs emphasize that this is just the first big patch for Total War: Warhammer III and it is the beginning of support for the game, which is planned for many years.
The reception of Total War: Warhammer 3 on Steam
Updates are much needed. Total War: Warhammer III debuted in poor technical condition. Players are clearly losing patience, as among the ratings given on Steam in the last 30 days only 44% are positive, while in the case of all user reviews, issued since the day of release, the share of those praising the title is 60%.
Total War: Warhammer III is available exclusively on PC. The game debuted on February 17, 2022 and is sold on Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store. The game simultaneously launched in PC Game Pass.
