Here's First Gameplay From Total War: Pharaoh
The first gameplays from the upcoming Total War: Pharaoh are hitting the web. See the Egyptians, Canaanites and Hittites in action.
As recently announcemed, a long, more than 40-minute footage from Total War: Pharaoh has been released. In it, the developers share information on the historical background of the game, and we can also look at many gameplay fragment. You can watch the entire video below.
Today, the IGN channel also featured footage from Total War: Pharaoh (available below), presenting impressions from the game.
The video reveals that in Total War: Pharaoh we will come to lead one of three factions - at least initially in the basic version of the game - i.e. the Egyptians, the Hittites and the Canaanites. According to the developers, the period on which Total War: Pharaoh focuses is tragic, full of invasions, and on top of that Egypt is consumed by civil wars.
One of the more interesting mechanics, which we can get to know better through the first glimpses of the game, is the dynamic weather during skirmishes. One moment the sun may be shining on the battlefield, and the next rain may flood the ground - and when the terrain suddenly changes, the player will have to take this into consideraion. In Total War: Pharaoh there will also be no shortage of natural disasters.
It is also worth bearing in mind that each nation is more effective in a particular area. Lightly armed Egyptians will do better in the heat, while the Hittites will not be intimidated by rain and cold due to their heavier armor.
Total War: Pharaoh is scheduled to debut this October on PC.
