Three character classes dominate among best PoE 2 players. One of them is unmatched
Which characters are best in the new hack'n'slash? Some of them definitely stand out from the rest.
During the first week after the release, Path of Exile 2 proved that it can stand out in the ARPG market. Grinding Gear Games' game turned out to be more demanding than the rest, which fascinated some and prompted others to reach for easier titles. Regardless of opinions, players are increasingly figuring out the mechanics of the second installment, including classes. Which of them are doing the best?
Deadeye definitely rules over the rest
One Reddit user has prepared a list of all the classes based on the official ranking of the best PoE 2 players. Of the twelve available characters, Deadeye stands out. He is a marksman specializing in fast-range attacks. 317 out of a thousand players have decided to dominate the ranking with this class.
Slightly lower were positioned Infernalist (237 players) and Stormweaver (198 players). These are subclasses for a witch who can transform into a fiery demon, and a sorceress who commands lightning.
When asked why Deadeye is so popular, fans suggest making the marksman even better at his craft. This character is both fast and straightforward, providing players with an enjoyable gameplay experience in the world of PoE 2.
The other classes are significantly lagging behind, especially in terms of the top players. Especially "weak" in the lineup seem to be Chronomancer (time sorceress) and Acolyte of Chayula (monk of chaos), of which the best can be counted on the fingers of both hands. Some people are surprised by this turn of events, considering the popularity of these classes before the release.
Before launch, the most appealing classes to me were Chronomancer, A of Chayula, and Blood mage. The ascendancies feel really strange Almost all of them. They feel... underpowered? Maybe it's just me looking at it from PoE 1 perspective where you feel good to pick one up.
The problem with the remaining classes is most likely their limited abilities, which, although powerful, do not make these characters easier to master. The most frequently chosen classes are flexible and offer more. Perhaps this is one of those things that the studio will refine before the official release.
