This War of Mine devs reveal Tower 57, coming out on PC, consoles, and Amiga
The developers of This War of Mine will publish Tower 57, an old-school twin stick shooter. The game is going to hit PC, consoles, and Amiga some time in 2017.
The creators of the award-winning war-time survival This War of Mine – Polish developer 11 bit studios – have revealed Tower 57, a game by indie dev Pixwerk. According to the creators , this is going to be a modern take on good, old Amiga games – a top-down stick shooter with 16-bit stylistics set in a dystopian, dieselpunk universe. Tower 57 is coming in 2017 for PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and—surprise, surprise—Amiga. You can already pre-order the game at GamesRepublic to get both a Steam key and a DRM-free copy.
Tower 57 will put a group of daredevils against a challenge of luck and skill: to climb up the eponymous tower, one of the last remaining enclaves of civilization, and fight off heavy resistance they face on the way. Each character will have unique abilities and weapons, so as to emphasize the importance of cooperative play (both local and online), although single player gameplay is also an option. Other highlights pointed out on the official website are: fast-paced old-school gameplay, highly destructible environment, and pixel art graphics. Read the FAQ for more info.
