As we mentioned earlier, the patch will bring, among other things, new content. We will get a number of mods integrated into the game, as well as free DLCs containing items inspired by the TV series The Witcher from Netflix - including alternative looks for selected characters. This means that in the game you will be able to see, for example, the likeness of Joey Batey playing Jaskier. Significantly, in order to get the swords and armor from the DLC, you will have to complete a new side quest.
The next-gen patch will also introduce a number of changes in the technical layer. The patch will offer, among other improvements, the following:
- support for ray tracing, FSR 2 and DLSS;
- reduced loading times for current-gen consoles;
- photo mode;
- Ultra graphics settings on PC;
- improved textures;
- cross-save and cross-progression
- two game modes for consoles: performance and quality (with RTGI and FSR2).
In addition, we will also receive a number of improvements that are expected to affect the gameplay comfort.. The patch will introduce, among other things, an improved map and new camera angles. The full list of changes is not yet available at this point.
Update for The Witcher 3 will hit PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on December 14, this year.. It will, of course, be free for all owners of the game. Those who have not yet purchased the title will be able to purchase the Complete Edition for current-gen platforms (including the story expansions Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine).
