The Witcher 3 Next-gen Reviewed and Praised
The refreshed The Witcher 3 has garnered almost the same maximum marks from critics - they praise the graphics as if from the first trailers, although the new bugs can somewhat overshadow the immersion coming from the gameplay.
Next-gen patch for The Witcher 3 will be released soon, and before that, we can take a look at the reviews of industry critics. To put it bluntly - we'll finally be able to play Geralt's adventures with graphics like from the first trailers, although it's still a little short of perfect.
Game almost perfect
The reviews given by industry websites are extremely favorable. The game received very high ratings. There is also no shortage of maximum scores.

Graphics like from the first trailer
Do you remember the high-profile affair concerning the downgrade of graphics in The Witcher 3 compared to the trailer presented at VGX 2013? Access to more powerful components and next-gen consoles enabled CD Project RED to make the vision of many years ago a reality. According to the critics, the game benefited a lot from improved visuals, mainly due to sharper textures (prepared in part with fans), further draw distance, as well as more shadows and reflections due to the ray tracing introduced into the game.
Critics also appreciated additional aspects. The game received a fully dubbed mission lasting tens of minutes related to the search for armor inspired by Henry Cavill's outfit from the Netflix series. The title also implemented a cloud-based save feature, improved controls, and added a photo mode and a clearer interface.
Bugs and pains before the launch
Unfortunately, the next-gen The Witcher 3 has not been spared a few technical bugs. The game in performance mode has trouble maintaining a stable 60 fps on the PS5, Geralt's hair can fly in closed rooms, and further elements of the scenery can flicker, which throws off the immersion. According to metro.cc the game can even freeze on the inventory screen, but inferring from the opinions of other reviewers this is an exception to the norm. Still it's a far cry from the overwhelming number of bugs from around the launch of Cyberpunk 2077.
The debut of the next-gen patch for The Witcher 3 will take place on the night of December 14. The update will be free for owners of the original game on the aforementioned platforms.
