This Mod Turns Combat in The Witcher 3 Into Pure Carnage
The Brutal Blood mod is a treat for fans of gory combat. Thanks to the changes it introducs, The Witcher 3 becomes a game for people with strong stomachs.
Combat in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is very satisfying in its own right. Full of acrobatics, enriched with magic signs, oils and potions, it is not an easy art to master. We have a steel sword for human opponents and a silver one for monsters - it's a rule in the game, which every fan of witcher adventures knows.
If you like to see buckets of blood dripping from enemies in the game, we have a mod for you which introduces even more gore elements to the game than The Witcher 3 ever had to offer. Brutal Blood by ulug is a modification that squares up the number of finishers and liters of blood that appear on the screen. Thanks to it Geralt of Rivia fights like the legendary Butcher of Blaviken, often cutting off limbs, chopping off heads or brutally finishing off his opponents - all in pools of bools.
Effects of Brutal Blood were shared on the game's subreddit by user KungFuChicken1990. On the published video you can see how thanks to the modification the player dismembers enemies, which results in disgusting splashes of blood. The excessive brutality even resembles the effect of an ability known from the Fallout series, which enabled the protagonist to literally turn enemies into gory pulp with simple attacks.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a game that owes its longevity to a unique storyline and an active community of modders. The game was released in 2015 and six years later it is still going strong. Soon we will also receive official support from the developers updating the graphics of The Witcher 3 to modern standards.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, with PS5 and Xbox X Series versions in development.
