Stalker Trilogy Set to Escape PC Shackles and Make Its Way to Consoles. We Have First Screenshots
Thanks to a leak in Japanese stores, we have found out that the old installments of the STALKER series will soon be coming to consoles.
It seems that console players will soon be able to play the three original installments of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. The source of these reports are Japanese game stores, such as Rakuten and Neowing, where pre-orders of the set titled S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy have started.
- The description shows that this is a collection that includes S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
- Among the platforms mentioned so far is only PlayStation 4, but it is practically certain that the collection will also hit other consoles.
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy is set to premiere on June 27th of this year. On the other hand, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released on September 5, giving console players just over two months to familiarize themselves with the old series installments before the sequel is released (although it's only being developed for PC and Xbox Series X/S).
Of course, we should be very skeptical of all these reports until the project is officially announced. However, the collection's simultaneous appearance in multiple stores, accompanied by artworks and screenshots of the console interface, indicates that it is definitely not a mistake, and the release of the game appears to be just a matter of time.
Some insiders believe that S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy will be officially announced during the Xbox Partner Preview event organized by Microsoft, which will take place tonight.
