The previously announced first major update has finally arrived to Hades II, which, in turn, can be played in Early Access from May 2024. The creators introduced a new region and gods to the roguelike, and that's just part of the "Olympic" patch.

Below you will find the most important elements of the fresh update. If you want to learn all the details, it's worth watching the approximately half-hour long material prepared by the developers.

  1. The new region is Olympus, where we will face, among others, Prometheus.
  2. Thanks to the patch in, now we will also be supported by Athena and scantily clad Dionysus with their gifts.
  3. We received the last Weapon of the Night. Xinth, The Black Coat is a kind of gloves that block and at the same time shoot special projectiles.
  4. The crossroads have been enriched with new decorations and music.
  5. From now on, we will also be able to take in two new pets: a bird and a dog.
  6. New challenges have also been added: Oath of the Unseen, Moon Monument, and Unseen Sigil.
  7. In addition, almost 2,500 new dialogue lines have been introduced.

It's also worth mentioning that with the update, the game has gained native support on PC with a MacOS system (with an Apple M1 processor or newer). Of course, this is not the end of Supergiant Games' plans for the game's development. The devs intend to introduce, among others, more gifts and enemies. The next such huge update is to be released for Hades II at the beginning of 2025. It's worth noting that this won't be the last such update in early access.
