  4. The standard edition costs $29.99, while the Premium Edition costs $49.99 (in return, you will receive, among other things, two small DLCs and a pass for two upcoming major expansions).

People who purchased the Premium edition could start playing a few days ago, which is why many reviews have appeared on Steam. Currently, 92% of them praise the game, which the website categorizes as a "very positive" reception of the title.

Age of Mythology: Retold also appealed to industry media. According to Metacritic, the PC version has an average rating of 84%. The release for Xbox Series S/X is getting lower reviews - in this instance, it's at 78%.

First controversies

The joyful atmosphere around the premiere is slightly spoiled by controversies surrounding The Legacy Deity Portrait Pack DLC. It includes portraits of deities from the original 2002 version. The price annoyed the players. The DLC costs $5.99, which is an exorbitant amount for something that is essentially a set of a few images.

Players expressed their dissatisfaction on Steam. The Legacy Deity Portrait Pack has only 16% positive reviews on this platform, which is categorized as a "very negative" reception of the add-on.
