During a stream regarding the future of the Age of Empires and Age of Mythology series, World's Edge studio provided new info about Age of Mythology: Retold - a remake of the cult RTS from 2002, announced in October 2022.
- First of all, we learned that this strategy is to be released in 2024. The game is coming both to PC - we already knew that - and to XSX/S. It will also be available on the PC/Xbox Game Pass service on the day of the release.
- The devs attempted to create new models, animations, textures, interfaces, and sounds. In other words, we will get a remake in the full sense of the word.
- To confirm these statements, three characters from Greek mythology were showcased (the game will also feature Nordic, Egyptian, and Atlantean themes) - Medusa, Pegasus, and Cerberus.
- Furthermore, we can find out from the Age of Mythology: Retold page on Steam that the game will feature a campaign comprising 50 missions.
- Apart from that, there will be a mode called Arena of the Gods available, where we will take on various challenges - either alone or in co-op mode.
- The game will feature a 12-player online mode.
