Early Access Players of No More Room in Hell 2 Struggle with Bugs. Latest Horror Game Scares Most With Its Ratings
The co-op horror game No More Room in Hell 2 scored an unsuccessful debut in early access. Players complain mainly about the bad technical layer.
Yesterday marked No More Room in Hell 2's debut on Steam, a cooperative horror FPS that follows up after an iconic mod from 2011. It was one of the most anticipated premieres of the week, but unfortunately it did not live up to the expectations.
- On Steam, only 32% of player reviews are praising No More Room in Hell 2, which is categorized as a "mostly negative" reception.
- Players complain mainly about the technical condition. The game is poorly optimized and full of errors, the servers can't keep up, and overall it lacks several key elements for this type of production, including primarily the ability to use a private lobby. Some people even claim that aside from nicer graphics, No More Room in Hell 2 is overall a worse title than the 2011 mod.
However, the game is not doomed to fail - most players enjoy the gameplay and atmosphere. Only a bunch of technical flaws spoils their fun (albeit often they do so completely). So if the devs can handle this relatively quickly, No More Room in Hell 2 is still salvageable.
The game also achieves good activity results. The release day record was 14,980 concurrent players on Steam. Interest in the game is therefore high, as indicated by its presence on many wish lists. However, if the most serious technical issues are not fixed quickly, these players may quickly abandon the project.
No More Room in Hell 2 is currently available only on PC. The game is sold in Steam Early Access for $35 and in Epic Games Store for $29. Early access is set to end next year, but for now the devs are unable to provide a more precise date.
