The Division 2 - Ubisoft Prepares an Open Beta
We've heard some interesting words during a gameplay stream of The Division 2. One of the devs let slip that the game will get an open beta.
Closed beta-tests of The Division 2 have just come to an end. All those who decided to place a pre-order, as well as the lucky few who managed to get a key, could play. It turns out that the closed beta may not be the only possibility to test the title before the official release. During a stream organized by the creators, one of the developers spilled the beans, declaring that many closed beta bugs would be fixed in the open beta phase.
We have still not received any official statement about the open beta. However, the words of the presenter likely did not came out of nowhere and in the near future we can expect some specific information about the tests. Making the early version of the title available to all players would be a understandable move from Ubisoft. The creators may want to introduce as many players as possible to the servers to check the network infrastructure before the release. The only thing we can do now is to wait for the announcement of the date, when we will all be able to test the production.
The release of Tom Clancy's The Division 2 will take place on March 15, 2019. The game will be released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The creators consistently warm up the atmosphere around the title. Closed beta, a lot of new footage and news about great PC optimization only contribute to increasing media noise. Open tests could only have a positive impact on this state of affairs.
