Bringing to mind a crossover between Battlefield and Minecraft, BattleBit Remastered tries to draw players by featuring huge battles, where up to 254 players can play together on one server. While at one point the game was named a “Battlefied-killer”, it faces harsh period in its life, where the number of active players plummets. Among other additions, it features an interesting weapon attachment – Target Detector. If you want to learn in detail how it works, continue reading.
How the Target Detector in BattleBit Remastered works
As an attempt to draw in more players and bring back the ones that have left the game, BattleBit Remasted came up with a free weekend. To further encourage players, developers have connected the event with a new update. The update features game balance adjustments and improvements, a new map, and new content, among others – a new attachment called Target Detector.
To start off, Target Detector is a side rail attachment. After unlocking it for a weapon of your choice and mounting it, it will ping a targeted enemy for your whole team for a short period of time. That means that a red triangle will appear over your opponent’s head making them visible for every player on your team. Keep in mind that you have to point at the general direction of the enemy’s torso.
With this addition, the ping system has been readjusted, too. It marks an enemy for longer than Target Detector, but only for your squad. Sniper spots last even longer, yet again, that will work only for the squad you’re in.
