Suicide Squad Delayed, But Because of Gameplay Reception (Leak)
According to Jason Schreier's sources, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will suffer yet another delay. Reportedly, Rocksteady wants to fix some bugs, but will not change the gameplay premise criticized by fans.
It looks like the debut of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will be delayed again. According to a person connected with the game, contacted by well-known journalist Jason Schreier, the release of Rocksteady's work is to be delayed from May 26 (the official date so far) to later this year. If this information comes true, it will be another delay of the game's release - it was originally scheduled to be released back in 2022.
It is worth noting that the alleged reason for the decision to delay Suicide Squad are not to be due not to negative player reaction to the gameplay, but to technical issues. The developers reportedly want more time to fix bugs, but they will not change the basic gameplay that the Internet users have been complaining about.
Gameplay was presented in February during the State of Play show. Fans were upset by many things in it, but perhaps most of all by the fact that the title will be a live-service game, and later also the fact that even for solo play it will require an Internet connection. Not surprisingly, this caused outrage among many - especially since Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is being developed by the developers responsible for the acclaimed Batman: Arkham series. The games in that series focused on a "single-player" experience and did not feature such conspicuous cosmetic elements or microtransactions. In short, this is not what fans expected from the new production from Rocksteady.
So far, there is no official statement from the developers about the postponement of the game's release. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles and PCs.
