Stray Launches Today; Game Available for Free as Part of PS Plus Trial

Stray has been generating positive excitement since its first announcement in June 2020. The charming cyberpunk adventure with a cat lost in a world full of robots won the hearts of players even before its release. Today everyone will be able to see for themselves what it's like to have four paws and a red tail.

Everyone wants to be a cat

Stray tells the story of a lost cat who must escape from a forgotten city inhabited by humanoid robots. The visuals drip with neon colors, and the world, despite its relatively dark design, is eye-catching and seems very warm.

A large part of this is due to the cat protagonist itself - the animal is just sweet. The designs of the robots inhabiting the city are also interesting. The machines behave like ordinary people, performing everyday tasks. You can find something of your friends and neighbors in them, and the whole thing is reminiscent of the world of Machinarium.

Stray reigns currently on the Steam bestseller list and no wonder - the first reviews herald a real hit. The game boasts a score of 84 points on Metacritic, based on 30 reviews (PC version). In addition, the game has a special button that is used to meow.

When Stray will be released and how to save money

The game will be unlocked on Steam around 9 am PT. On PlayStation 4 and 5 the game is available now. Moreover, on Sony devices the title debuted as part of the PlayStation Plus subscription (in Extra and Premium plans). There is also an easy way to play Stray for free.

PlayStation gamers from Europe can take advantage of a seven-day trial period of PS Plus Extra and Premium. This can be done from the console or through the PS Store website. You have to link the card into your account and agree to a paid subscription at the end of the trial, but you can cancel it right away. Stray is an adventure for just a few hours, so a week of the PS Plus trial should be more than enough to complete the game.

If you plan to play the game on PC, you can save a little here as well. By adding the game to your cart on Steam before 9 am, you will have 10% of the standard price left in your pocket.. Collector's edition

For the most loyal fans, the devs have prepared a collector's edition, which will include six graphics (also available in the standard edition), a poster and a patch. Unfortunately the collector's edition will hit the stores only on September 20, along with the standard boxed edition of the game.
