Stardew Valley Will Get Split Screen Co-op
The upcoming update 1.5 for Stardew Valley looks better with each report. It has been revealed that one of the novelties will be a co-op mode on split screen.
ConcernedApe has announced that the agricultural RPG Stardew Valley will receive co-op mode for two players on split screen. This novelty will be introduced with update 1.5. Unfortunately we still don't know when we can expect the patch.
Multiplayer has been added in update 1.3, but until now, the fun was only possible via the Internet or LAN. Multiplayer mode is available on PCs, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The game has also been released on iOS and Android devices, but these releases only allow for solo play, and that's not expected to change for the moment.
Patch 1.5 is expected to bring a lot of novelties. In addition to the split-screen mode, the update will also introduce, among other things, the ability to move beds, floating ducks or usable benches. Changes will also be made on the map. For example, the fishing shop will have a backroom.
Stardew Valley launched in February 2016 on PC. The game proved to be a big hit and over time it has ported to PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and mobile iOS and Android. In January this year, the devs announced that the game has already found over 10 million buyers.
