STALKER 2 is a hybrid of immersive sim, FPS and survival horror. It is a continuation of the series started in 2007 with STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl. The Zone, the area we visit in the game, promises to be huge. It can be deduced by the amount of free disk space required, prepare around 160 GB on your SSD. PC players with slower Internet connection are wondering whether it will soon be possible to preload this title, i.e. download it before release. If you belong to this group of people, we invite you to read our article about it.

STALKER 2 PC Preload (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, GoG) Explained

Preload allows players to download files in advance before the release of a particular game. Developers often enable this option, if their creations are large. Of course, many people seize this opportunity, especially those who have slower Internet connection. The latest STALKER is not small. It requires around 160GB of free disk space. That being said, will you be able to preload it?

Xbox console users received the good news a few days ago, as they are able to download all the necessary files prior to release. The situation for PC players is worse, as no preload has appeared on this platform so far.

On the game's official Discord channel, under the ‘GSC asnwers’ tab, information has appeared about a preload for PC players. Unfortunately, this is not good news. From its content, we can learn that it will not be available at all. This is very bad news for many players. At this point, the only option is to wait for the release, which is just two days away, and download the game day 1.
