STALKER 2 Devs Present Faction Costumes, Weapons and Gap-toothed NPC

A new gameplay video from STALKER 2 appeared online. It shows changes in the faction's costumes, weapon model and the system of creating NPCs' teeth.

GSC Game World has released a new video, in which one of the developers discusses the progress on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. The video was released to celebrate an important anniversary for the franchise. A few days ago, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, the production that started the series, celebrated its fourteenth birthday.

Unfortunately, on the occasion of this anniversary we didn't receive a new trailer. However, the material prepared by GSC Game World contains a lot of interesting things. In the video we can see, among others, how the new versions of costumes will look like.

We've see the appearance of the members of "Duty" and "Freedom" factions. Their costumes will resemble the style of those known from previous installments, but the models are to be much more detailed.

In the material we can also see a lot of weapons, which will be used during the fight in Zone. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is to offer more than thirty types of weapons, not to mention numerous mods.

At the end, a male character model was shown. His face had an impressive level of detail, but the developers focused on showing a tool for manipulating the appearance of teeth, which enables us to quickly deprive an NPC of part of his teeth or replace them with metal crowns. The devs ensure that each person encountered during the game will have a different appearance of this part of the body. Of course, the developers showed this only as an example of one of many technologies that will enable them to easily create detailed characters with unique appearance.

STALKER 2 is coming to PC and Xbox Series X/S. We will probably wait for the game at least until 2022.
