Spider-Man 2 on PS5 With Tons of Accessibility Options
Insomniac Games has made sure that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will appeal to as many PlayStation 5 owners as possible.
Both the original Spider-Man, as well as Spider-Man: Miles Morales by Insomniac Games offered an extensive list of accessibility options that enable the players to experience the enjoyment of the game in their own way. The same approach will be served by the developers for the upcoming Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
- As noted by Insider Gaming, on the game's page on the PlayStation store has recently updated the description with new accessibility options, including the ability to slow down the action. Players who prefer a slightly quieter experience will be able to experience gameplay at 70, 50 or even 30 percent of full speed. They will also be able to restore the normal pace at any time.
- It is worth noting that this option is nothing new in video games. A similar solution exists in Forza Horizon 5 or Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
- In addition to slowing down the gameplay, we will be able to enable the ability to read aloud all text appearing on the screen in menus. The audiodescription option will also be available for cutscenes in the game.
- In Marvel's Spider-Man 2 there will be no shortage of features for assisted aiming, chase (the maximum movement speed of chase targets is lowered, so we get more time before the target escapes) or dodging.
- The accessibility options also did not miss extensive customization of the controls, camera and HUD screen.
- From the information provided, we also learn that Spider-Man 2 is to receive two graphic modes. The first, focused on quality, displays video at 30 frames per second with graphics features such as ray tracing, enhanced lighting and additional visual effects. The performance mode, on the other hand, offers 60 fps without additional graphics features.
One has to admit that the developers at Insomniac Games have really nailed it when it came to making the game enjoyable for as many players as possible. It remains to be hoped that the quality of gameplay and storyline will be high.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will hit the PlayStation 5 console on October 20, this year.
