New State of Play is Coming; Sony Preempts Xbox & Bethesda Show

Sony has announced the date of its next episode of State of Play. During the event we'll see plenty of trailers for new and already announced games - mostly from Sony's third-party partners, as well as a few titles being developed with PlayStation VR2 in mind.

June will be a month full of shows. However, before we watch the Summer Game Fest and see what Microsoft and Bethesda have prepared, we can take a look at what Sony has in store. The company finally announced the date of the next edition of the recently delayed State of Play event.

The show will be held soon, namely on Thursday, June 2, 2022, 3 pm PT. It will be available on the PlayStation channels on Twitch and YouTube.

The event will last about 30 minutes. We're expected to see a number of trailers for new and already announced games at the event - primarily titles from Sony's third-party partners, as well as a few titles being developed with PlayStation VR2 in mind (the company announces more than twenty games for the launch of this device).

So, are we to learn the exact release date of God of War: Ragnarok in just a few days? I would not count on it. Known informants, including AccountNgt, have been mentioning rumors about a big State of Play show being planned, dedicated to Sony's exclusives. It is possible that we will have to wait for this event until September.
