Sea of Thieves is One of Best Titles in Xbox Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass is a very popular service among gamers. Through it, you can enjoy many titles for a dozen dollars or so per month. Among the available game is Sea of Thieves, which is one of the most frequently chosen titles.

Sea of Thieves is a multiplayer adventure game in which we take on the role of bloodthirsty pirates. Rare's open world title has a lot to offer. You can, among other things, plunder, search for treasures, fight sea battles, conquer forts and fight mythical monsters. Although it may not sound all that exciting, and many people bounced off SoT, the title is very popular on Xbox Game Pass, as Aaron Greenberg, the man responsible for Xbox marketing, says in an interview with Gamereactor.

"It's been incredible to see the reaction. Talking to both development partners and the customers, we realised there was an opportunity to create an audience, create a great value with gaming and help people discover their next favourite game. What's really fun for me is talking to our development partners and seeing the success they're having, because we have a lot of people that are making games that in some cases would struggle to reach an audience, but overnight they could have millions of people playing their game because it becomes the latest new release or shows up essentially in their queue in Game Pass. Sea of Thieves has been one of our top-performing titles in Game Pass. It was one of our first titles that we launched day one into the service, and you're right, it's built a huge community both on the PC and console, and I think Game Pass has been a big part of that."

Unfortunately, no solid data was given anywhere and we do not really know what position Sea of Thieves takes. However, you only need to look at the list of the most frequently chosen titles in Microsoft Store to see that SoT is in fact very popular.

The creators of Sea of Thieves are doing their best to keep the players in the game. Events of various nature are regularly organised. The next one, Smuggler's Fortune, will be launched on September 11.
