Samsung Announces New Competitor For GeForce Now
Samsung is going to introduce a cloud gaming feature to its TVs. So far, the company is very tight-lipped when sharing details about the new service.
At a recent conference, Samsung announced its plan to join the cloud gaming industry. We do not know when the so-called Samsung Cloud Gaming service will debut, nor do we know the games that it will offer, or whether the feature will be available on other devices then those based on the Tizen system.
This isn't the first time the Korean tech giant has announced its intention to enter the cloud gaming market. As reported by The Verge, such plans appeared back in 2010, but they fell through.
We can not forget about the competition that Samsung will encounter on its way. Although cloud gaming industry is dominated by GeForce Now, it is worth remembering other services such as Google Stadia, xCloud, PlayStation Now and the emerging Amazon Luna. How Samsung Cloud Gaming will fare remains in the realm of conjecture, but the company can expect it won't be easy.
