RuneScape has got Menaphos: The Golden City, the biggest update so far

RuneScape, a popular browser MMORPG that has been expanded since 2001, has just received the largest update in the game’s 16-year history. Menaphos: The Golden City is introducing the eponymous city of Menaphos along with four story-based missions, procedurally generated City Quests, a maze-like Shifting Tombs mini-game, a new Slayer Dungeon and an increased level cap of 120 for Slayer skill. RuneScape is a free-to-play game, but “free” players have only got access to limited content. However, this weekend (June 9–12) all those interested will be able to try out everything that Menaphos: The Golden City offers. Although the expansion has been designed mainly with mid- and high-level characters in mind, the developers at Jagex assure us that new players will also find something for themselves here. After completing a three-part questline that leads them across the desert they will be able to explore the city streets, take part in City Quests and ultimately use Menaphos as a jumping-off point for other adventures in the game world.
