Resident Evil Village System Requirements Revealed by AMD
AMD revealed some of the system requirements for Capcom's upcoming game Resident Evil Village. The company stated that we will need a Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU to play the game with ray tracing enabled.
A few days ago, AMD announced that Resident Evil Village will be another game using Fidelity FX technology (company's new in-house technology). Yesterday, part of the recommended system requirements for the upcoming title appeared on AMD's website. It turns out that the recommended GPU for the latest Capcom game with ray-tracing enabled is Radeon RX 6800 XT. If the player will not want to use the latest AMD technology, then the power of Radeon RX 5700 will be sufficient. Interestingly, in both cases the recommended processor is a cheap Ryzen 5 1600.
It's hard to say for which resolution these values are given. VideoCardz predicts that RX 6800 XT will be needed for comfortable gameplay with ray-tracing enabled at 4K. It is also unknown if the title will be supported by Nvidia on release day.
AMD announced their renewed partnership with Capcom on the same day that ot revealed the release date of their latest GPU, Radeon RX 6700 XT. Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7, 2021 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X|S.
