Quantum Break confirmed for PC; crossbuy to become XONE’s platform feature
Quantum Break is officially coming to PC and Xbox One on April 5th. Microsoft Studio is planning to make crossbuy between XONE and PC a platform feature.
Microsoft officially confirmed what was rumored before – Quantum Break really is coming to PC. The new Remedy Entertainment’s project is going to launch simultaneously on Xbox One and Windows 10 on April 5th. It is noteworthy that the PC port is being developed in-house and is not going to be outsourced to another studio. This should prevent significant performance problems due to bad porting. The developers actually revealed the game specs:
Minimum system requirements
- Processor: Core i5-4460 2.70 GHz or AMD FX-6300
- Graphics: 2 GB RAM –GeForce GTX 760 or Radeon R7 260x
- DirectX: 12
- RAM: 8 GB
- Disk space: 55 GB
- OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
Recommended system requirements
- Processor: Core i7-4790 4 GHz or AMD equivalent;
- Graphics: 6 GB RAM – GeForce GTX 980Ti or Radeon R9 Fury X;
- DirectX: 12;
- RAM: 16 GB RAM;
- Disk space: 55 GB;
- OS: Windows 10 (64-bit).
Anyone who pre-orders Quantum Break on XONE will also receive a free PC copy (game saves will transfer between them). Interestingly Microsoft’s Phil Spencer said crossbuy between XONE and PC will become a platform feature, which means we can expect much more bundles like this in the future. On top of that, XONE pre-orders will come along with a digital copy of Alan Wake and Alan Wake’s American Nightmare for X360.
