The Flame in the Flood survival game received a full release date. The new title from veterans of the BioShock series is going to hit PC and XONE, once its Early Access period is over on the 24th of February 2016.
A humorous post-apocalyptic survival game The Flame in the Flood is gearing up for a full release on February 24th. Such information was revealed in the new trailer (see above), which also gives some tongue-in-cheek tips on how to survive against in-game predators. The Kickstarter-funded project ceated by a team of veterans of the BioShock, Halo, Guitar Hero, and Rock Band series working under The Molasses Flood indie studio is going to launch on PC and Xbox One.
The Flame in the Flood, currently available in Steam Early Access for $19.99, lets players tailor a story of a young woman named Scout and her loyal dog Aesop. The two journey down a river in search of a rescue that is supposed to wait at its far end. While travelling on foot or by raft across procedurally generated locations, the protagonist has to look for resources, craft tools, care for her health, and evade dangerous wildlife. The game features permadeath – when you die you have to start over having only the things your canine friend carried.
