PvP Teams in AFK Journey Explained

AFK Journey is a game in which players explore a fantasy world, one by one acquiring new heroes to help in a variety of gameplay modes. There is an Arena among them, in which you face other players' teams in automatic battle mode. Putting up the strongest units will not always guarantee you a win, as some characters perform better in specific modes. AFK Journey – Recommended Team Composition
A team in PvP mode consists of 5 units as standard. One of the more popular and very good compositions includes solo tank, 2 DPS and 2 supports. Below we present one of the better teams:
- Tank: Thoran - undisputedly one of the best, if not the best, character in this role. He performs brilliantly as a solo tank. He is very durable, and on top of that, he can resurrect and fight again after death.
- DPS: Vala - a unique character who fights both at a distance and in close combat. When she recharges her ability, she can deal massive damage and teleport to the back of enemy formations, killing the biggest threats with ease.
- DPS: Cecia - her power lies in summoning an assistant to battle, who can weave through enemy formations and inflict area damage on top of that. The only downside is that her ultimate takes a long time to recharge.
- Support: Rowan - a key character that will fit well in almost any team. He is literally the energy battery for your heroes, so your units will be able to use their deadly abilities much faster. In addition, he guarantees the renewal of small amounts of health to your allies.
- Support: Hewynn - one of the best healers in the game. Heals any unit regardless of where it is located. The only downside is the large amount of energy needed to use this ability, although casting this skill will become much faster with Rowan.
- Replacements – Silvina (DPS), Odie (DPS), Eiron (DPS), Granny Dahnie (Tank), Damian (Support), Reinier (Support)
The most forward unit in the team should be Thoran. In the back set characters such as Hewynn and Cecia, and Rowan between them to generate energy. Vala can be positioned at the back, slightly to the side, as she will often move anyway.
AFK Journey – Tips for PvP Arena
- It is important not to lose the Ultimate Race. In many cases, the team that uses its abilities first will lose the battle. Therefore, consider heroes that generate energy for other characters, or do not rely too much on their abilities.
- When creating a defensive formation, remember that the maps can be different. The arrangement of characters then will automatically change, so it is worth creating your unique composition of heroes for each of them and place warriors in the appropriate places.
- Characters that inflict a great amount of damage to a single target can guarantee you victory, as well as be useless. It all depends on the formation of the opponent. If the enemy concentrates all the units into one group, then it is worth thinking about characters that deal area damage. Otherwise, an assassin will die very quickly and will not help you win the duel.
