Video game genres evolve and mix over time. Even relatively straightforward theme of tower defence has come a long way. One of the more interesting series which used that idea successfully is Orcs Must Die. Just recently, we have seen the release of its latest instalment, Orcs Must Die Deathtrap, on Steam. While not very warmly received, it is still kept in high regard by fans of slaying the orcs. Many of them would like to try out this title on their trusty PS5, especially considering that most of the previous productions were available on this platform. Well, if you would like to deal with the green creatures with DualSense in your hands, we have something that can be interesting, so stick around to learn more.
Orcs Must Die Deathtrap PlayStation 5 release explained
Robot Entertainment is doing their best to develop their Orcs Must Die game series. Most of the productions from that franchise are cross-platform. The latest one, subtitled Deathtrap, carries on this tradition but was released only on PC and Xbox… so far. If you are a PS5 fan, do not worry though, as it is coming!
That’s not all. There is information shared by the game’s director on OMD’s official discord server that the PlayStation 5 port will be delivered, quote, “ASAP” (as soon as possible). There is no specific date as of yet, but we know that this task is important for the team, and they will be working on that with priority.
It seems, however, that they have more pressing matters to address, as many players complain about the state of the game. Fans’ reviews on Steam are full of concern about the lack of content in the title, arguing that it’s a product that should rather be launched in the Early Access model. Nonetheless, we can see that the creators are passionate about their project and want to get it to as many players as possible. If you would like to monitor more closely the situation, going to the aforementioned Discord server is advised. Good luck!
