First impressions are very positive
The developers, together with publisher Paradox Interactive, have made an early version of the game available to selected trade media. Thanks to this, articles with first impressions appeared in, among others, PCGamer, God is a Geek and Screen Rant. The impression is that the game looks promising.
The game is being developed on the engine known from Stellaris, but fortunately it does not give the impression of being a mere modification of Paradox's earlier game. The devs have put a lot of effort into modifying the technology and gameplay to faithfully reflect the reality of Star Trek. In addition, the title is expected to be surprisingly expansive in terms of story - each faction will receive its own mission tree, with events and challenges inspired by famous events from the movies and series from this universe.
