How to Deal with Silent Alarm in Star Trek Infinite
The Silent Alarm in Star Trek Infinite might be confusing and unsettling, at first, as the game does not tell you what it means, and there is no option to turn it off. The Alarm has a useful function – it tells you that there are spy operations ongoing in your system. If the Silent Alarm is is triggered, there is a spy ship in your territory, and while the Silent Alarm doesn’t detect its position, it tells you that it is active. What can you do about it, however?
To take care of the problem of foreign spies in your system in Star Trek Infinite, you have to counter espionage. There are two ways to go about it.
- Select your own spy ship, send it to the system where the alarm went off, and command it to Counter Epsionage.
- If your spy ship is set to work automatically, it will travel from one system to another and try to look for spies on its own.
You might have to wait for some time, and you are not guaranteed to succeed. However, you should not ignore the Silent Alarm, as doing so might allow your enemy to gain an upper hand.
