Star Trek Infinite is a recently launched grand strategy game situated in the vast Star Trek universe, created by Nimble Giant Entertainment and released by Paradox Interactive. While you may not know the developer, the publisher has a renown of making complex strategies with a lot of options. This is also true in the case of Star Trek Infinite. The title is very similar to Stellaris, another space strategy published by Paradox, so if you know it, you will feel at home here. In both titles one of the most important resources is Influence. It allows players to make diplomatic agreements and extend borders. In this guide we will tell you how to get it.
How to Get Influence in Star Trek Infinite
Influence is one of the most important resources because without it you will not be able to make your empire bigger. It is necessary to colonize news systems and demand terrain from other galactic powers. It is also a fuel of various diplomatic agreements. At the same time, it is quite rare and hard to accumulate. Below we present a few ways of getting it.
You must remember that diplomatic agreements lower your Influence income every month. Restrict yourselves to the most essential ones.
- Unscrupulous Deals – it is an edict which allows you to get more Influence at the cost of higher crime. You have to complete proper research first.
- Events – there are many events in the game, some of them will offer Influence as a reward.
- Ambassies – this building is also able to generate 1 Influence a month. Sadly, you can build only one. You have to complete proper research first.
- Fortress Worlds – if you designate a planet as a Fortress world, soldiers on it will produce 0,1 Influence. This mechanic is not available for Federation.
- Leaders – in this case you have to look for trait Destroyers of the World (Society). It adds 0,1 Influence.
Keep in mind that there may be more ways of getting Influence. For example, one of the players informs that there is a Ferengi station which offers Influence for resources. However, we could not test it ourselves, so we did not add this method to the above list. If we discover something more, we will add it.
