PoE 2 maintains high pace of changes. Major 0.1.0e patch balances entire endgame
The developers of Path of Exile 2 just a day after announcing the changes have introduced them to the game. Update 0.1.0e makes endgame easier, balances skills, and reduces the price of respec.
Grinding Gear Games didn't keep us waiting long and released the update for Path of Exile 2 announced just yesterday, marked with the number 0.1.0e. You can already download it on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. This time, the list of fixes and improvements is longer than that of the previous patch, and you can find the complete breakdown on the official game forum.
Path of Exile 2 - new features in patch 0.1.0e
As a reminder: the developers have introduced the long-awaited option of teleporting between checkpoints, at the same time increasing their number. Another very welcome change after the recent nerfs is the reduction of the price for resetting points on the skill tree. This concerns characters in the final stage of the game, and the prices are supposed to be 40-50% lower.
The entire endgame has undergone major changes and for example, the T6 and T11 maps no longer impose a penalty to elemental resistances. It remains constant and the same as in the case of T1.
- Many monster modifiers have been changed - deadly "Volatile Crystals" have been disabled, potion drain has become 10 times weaker (this was an unintentional error), and all types of "Trail of..." stay on the ground significantly shorter.
- Furthermore, the Breach mechanic will no longer overwhelm us with so many elite opponents. All improvements aim to make it easier to survive during the cleaning of the Atlas.
Additionally, the new features revealed yesterday were added to the Trial of Sekhamas, with reduced damage to Honor depending on the distance.
We also learned the details about the balance of skills. Quite a few of them have been buffed and nerfed, so I recommend checking out the list to see which abilities are used in your build.
- Characters based on cold damage took a heavy hit, as re-freezing an opponent is now harder.
- Builds using "Electrocute" will also notice the change, as it now generates more slowly, but the damage penalty has been removed.
It's worth mentioning the addition of two completely new support skills. The first one - Added the Tremors - causes the combined ability to trigger more Aftershocks, with the penalty being less damage. The second one - Added the Bidding - increases the damage of the command skills of supported minions.
