Grinding Gear Games reveals more content that will hit Path of Exile 2 with the Dawn of the Hunt update. This time we received a teaser of the new Ascendancy class.
A major update, version 0.2.0, titled"Dawn of the Hunt, is heading for Path of Exile 2. There are just over 2 weeks left until the release, and all the new content will be revealed next week. However, Grinding Gear Games doesn't intend to leave us empty-handed until then and has once again presented new features.
The first of these are new battle options in the final stage of the game. The devs also shared one of the examples - in the illustration below we see the essence monolith, from which we will receive four essences at the "greater" level. They are quite rare in the game, so we probably won't encounter such a combination too often. Nonetheless, we know that it is possible.

The second, much more interesting novelty, is another Ascendancy class. As we know, the 0.2.0 update is supposed to introduce several of them, and so far we have only seen one. Now GGG has revealed an illustration (visible at the beginning of the text) and a brief description of the second one.

As expected, the players immediately began their analysis. It's quite easy to conclude that the new Ascendancy will be available for the Warrior class. Unfortunately, it's difficult to say what will be its focus. Some players claim that it will cause fire damage, while others suggest that it may somehow improve the weapons used, as befits a blacksmith.
According to the data found by dataminers, the new subclass is supposed to be called "Smith of Kitava." We cannot also ignore the sword visible in the illustration, as it is known that these don't appear in the early access of PoE 2. Nonetheless, players think that patch 0.2.0 won't change this, since it has already been announced that spears will be added to the game along with the Huntress class. However, GGG might surprise us pleasantly.
Path of Exile 2 is available in paid early access on PC, PS5, and XSX/S. The Dawn of the Hunt update is set to be released on April 4th. Besides the content mentioned above, it will also introduce new unique items, supporting skills, and changes to the Tower mechanics, among other things.
