PlayStation Plus fees to go up for Europe and Australia

PlayStation Plus price is going to rise by 20 percent for Europe and Australia. The change is coming to life on Monday.

PlayStation Plus price is going to change, and nope, it’s not going down. Starting from August 31, 2017, the subscription is going up by 20% in Europe and Australia. Here’s how the prices will look like, according to an official e-mail from Sony:

  1. Annually, the price will change from L39.99 / 49.99 euro / CAD 69.95 to L49.99 / €59.99 / CAD 79.95 per annum;
  2. quarterly, the price will change from L14.99 / €19.99 / CAD 27.95 to L19.99 / €24.99 / CAD 33.95 per quarter;
  3. monthly, the price will change from L5.99 / €6.99 / CAD 9.95 to L6.99 / €7.99 / CAD 10.95 per month.

Current PS Plus subscribers should note that their recurring subscription fees paid on or after August 31 will be charged at the new price. If you decide to buy a membership before that date, you can do it at the current price, and will have the subscription stacked to your current active period.

If, on the other hand, you don’t feel like paying for PS Plus anymore, you should cancel the auto-renew option at least 48 hours before the next payment planned for August 31 or after that date.

PS Plus opens up a whole range of possibilities before PlayStation 4 players. For starters, a member is necessary for online multiplayer. It also grants you two free games per month, which you can keep for as long as you are a member, as well as exclusive discounts in PlayStation Store.
