Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Trailer Leaked
A trailer of Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, the long-awaited continuation of Garden Warfare 2, has leaked into the web. We still don't have any official information from Electronic Arts.
Rumors about the continuation of the Plants vs. Zombies series have been appearing for some time. All thanks to the registration of the Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville trademark in Europe. It turns out that the fans were right and the game really is in the pipeline. What's more, the game's trailer has just leaked into the web. You can watch the it below, although keep in mind that this is not the "final version" and on the screen you will see a lot of subtitles and sometimes unpolished animation. If the video is removed from YouTube, you can find it here.
It is worth mentioning that just after the trademark was registered by Electronic Arts, fans speculated about the name of the production. The most popular was the theory that the game would be called Picnic and would be a shooter. As you can see, there is something about it, because in the upper left corner (on the trailer) we see the name of the file, which coincides with the guesses. The title actually seems to be similar to Garden Warfare 2, which would also suggest that we are dealing with a third-person shooter. To confirm this information we have to wait until the official announcement of the game.
At the end of July, Electronic Arts sent out invitations for closed tests of this project on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. However, this does not mean that the title will be a console exclusive. PC players will probably also get a chance to play it, and it is possible that EA is planning to release the game on Nintendo Switch. Battle for Neighborville will not be the only new production from the universe. Over a month ago Plants vs. Zombies 3, a mobile strategy game, was announced, slated for release in 2020 on iOS and Android devices.
