People Can Fly Acquires Game On

People Can Fly took over another company. This time it's Game On, a studio that specializes in creating animations (motion capture), sounds and movies.

This is the second acquisition made by PCF in recent times.

Polish company People Can Fly announced the acquisition of Montreal-based studio Game On, which specializes in motion capture technology, as well as sound and video creation. The latter entity has been cooperating with PCF for a long time - it took part in the works on the network shooter Outriders, among other titles.

"The acquisition of Game On is an element of our growth strategy announced at the IPO. As our trusted partner Game On will enhance our competence in animations, cinematics and audio to create Triple-A games and capability to develop several large-scale projects at the same time. After the acquisition, we do not claim exclusivity: Game On will continue to cooperate independently with other clients in the gaming industry, and Sam Girardin will remain its CEO," said PCF Group S.A. CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski.

"PCF Group S.A. is now a global player that has been growing at an amazing pace in the recent years. Joining the People Can Fly family is a strategic move for us that strengthens Game On’s ability to innovate with new technologies and services to produce high-quality content to our clients," reads a comment from Sam Girardin, Game On's chief executive.

It's worth noting that the acquisition in question is already the second such move from People Can Fly in recent times. Two days ago we informed about the acquisition of Phosphor Games.
