Path of Exile: Crucible Will Enable Every Weapon to Get a Skill Tree

An update called Crucible is headed to Path of Exile, which will see even weapons receive their own skill trees in the game. In addition, the expansion will introduce a number of fixes.

In anticipation of the June release of Diablo IV one can focus on games similar to Blizzard's work. One of them is Path of Exile, a free-to-play action RPG that at one time competed with Diablo III (that is, as long as Blizzard was actively developing the game). Although many years have passed since the release of the said title from Grinding Gear Games, the developers do not stop supporting the project. This is evidenced by an upcoming update titled Crucible.

As we read in the announcement on PoE's website, the expansion will introduce quite a few improvements and new features to the game. Here are the most important of them:

  • Gameplay in the new League will enable you to expand your weapons with your own passive skill trees. To unlock them, the player has to take part in a special challenge waiting for him in the eponymous Crucible.
  • Gates of Atlas expansion for Path of Exile endgame is a new node that enable the players to instantly switch between two remote skills on the Atlas passive skill tree.
  • Two old league mechanics, Breach and Abyss, have been overhauled.
  • Nine new Vaal skills have been added.
  • Saboteur's and Pathfinder's ascendancy classes have been redesigned, giving them more influence.

Below you can watch a trailer showcasing Path of Exile: Crucible.

Path of Exile: Crucible will be released on April 7 on PC, and April 12 on PlayStation and Xbox.. More information on the update can be found here.
