The big Christmas update has finally come to Palworld. Studio Pocketpair kept its word and Feybreak is now available on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

As announced, the main attraction of the December update is a new island: the titular Feybreak. This one, as you might easily guess, is packed not only with new challenges (including members of a new faction of warriors, criminals, and predatory pals) but also with different types of creatures.

There were also previously unseen types of resources, as well as two additional gameplay mechanics: expeditions and research. The first ones let you send pals on solo missions to gather resources (which might remind you of expeditions to Poke Pelago from the 7th generation of Pokemon). However, this second function allows for obtaining passive bonuses to the player's base productivity.

Furthermore, the maximum character level has been raised (to 60), options for modifying sphere operations with special modules have been introduced, many new weapons and items (including a potion that revives pals) have been added, along with extra game modes for "hardcore" players and enthusiasts of random adventures (with the game allowing adjustments to the level of randomness). This is complemented by a few large and small improvements (including the option... to sit on chairs).

It's also worth noting the teaser trailer for the crossover with Terraria that was announced a month ago. While we must wait until 2025 for the event, Feybreak offered us a preview of it. The Meowmere weapon has made its way to Palworld - the very same one featured in Stardew Valley's 1.6 update as an Easter Egg. In Pocketpair studio's game, the legendary sword is the "first bullet-firing melee weapon."

You can find the full list of changes introduced in the Feybreak update in the post published by the devs on X.
