Outriders Gets Second Wind on Steam Thanks to New Horizons

The release of the New Horizons update enabled Outriders to get a second wind. The game is achiving its highest activity scores on Steam in many months.

Devs at People Can Fly have reasons to be happy. Outriders has clearly been revived on Steam thanks to the release of the New Horizon update.

For several months, the game has been systematically losing players. At the end of October, daily activity records averaged a little over a thousand people playing simultaneously on Steam. The situation changed on November 16, with the release of the new update. The activity record on the update's release date was 6.6 thousand players and, importantly, only kept increasing. Yesterday, at the hottest moment of the day, 8,180 people were playing the title on Steam at the same time.

New Horizon not only successfully attracted users to their monitors, but the game manages to keep their interest for longer. Outriders is undoubtedly helped by the current deal on Steam, which enables us to purchase this title 67% off. The offer will remain valid until November 24.

The game debuted in April this year. It had a successful start - the activity record in the month of release was over 125 thousand players at the same time, but in May it was only 13 thousand and in June - less than 6 thousand.

The release of the update is not the only thing that works in favor of Outriders. Last month the game also hit the Xbox Game Pass offer on PC. Previously, it was available in the service only on consoles.

The devs intend to strike the iron while it's hot and are working on the first expansion. For now, we know almost nothing about it, except that it is titled Worldslayerand its release is expected next year.
