Outlast 2 PC specs revealed
The good news is that Oulast 2 PC requirements aren't too high. The bad? Well, you now have no excuse when your friends ask why you don't have the courage to play the game.
Are you afraid that Outlast 2 may be too demanding for your good old PC? Believe me, that’s not true fear. True fear starts when you actually manage to run the game. Besides, the official system requirements aren’t that high. The question is: is that really good news?
Minimum system requirements – targeting 720p at 30 fps
- Processor: Intel Core i3-530
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 / ATI Radeon HD 4870 (1 GB VRAM; DirectX 10 support)

Recommended system requirements – targeting 1080p at 60 fps

- HDD: 30 GB available space
- OS: Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 (64-bit)
Jokes aside, Outlast 2 is likely going to be a worthy successor of the first Outlast, which has become a paragon of what a modern first-person survival horror should be. Heavy atmosphere, gloomy environments, and hair-raising opponents combined with some original features, like the night-vision camcorder and freerunning skills of the main protagonist – these are the most recognizable features of the Outlast series.
While the first game and its expansion were set in an abandoned asylum turned into a hideous research facility, the sequel puts you in the shoes of a journalist trying to uncover a mystery of certain woman’s death. However, after the crash of his helicopter, he and his wife become victims themselves, struggling to survive against lunatic cultists. Outlast 2 is coming out for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 early next week – on April 25.
