New World Will Get First Major Expansion; Trailer Available
New World's days of dominance on Steam are a thing of the past. Will Rise of the Angry Earth, the first major expansion to Amazon Games' MMORPG, encourage players to return?
To New World is expectingRise of the Angry Earth - the first paid expansion for this MMO. The DLC will cost 28.99 euro, but new players will be able to purchase it together with the basic version of New World for 68.99 euros.
Details of the expansion are discussed in a post on the game's official website and on Steam. Some of the highlights can also be seen in the trailer for Rise of the Angry Earth, which we have posted below.
As the first major expansion for Amazon Games' title, New World: Rise of the Angry Earth will present a separate story about the fall of the First Light and the ruined land hidden behind a powerful barrier. Players will have to face the powerful Beast Lords to learn the fate of the inhabitants of this once hospitable region.
However, every cloud has a silver lining. With the appearance of these powerful enemies, players will gain access to a new ability: taming and riding animals. In other words, New World will see mounts such as horses, wolves and lions. On top of that, a new profession - horsemanship - will help strengthen these animal companions over time.
Besides, in accordance with the convention of MMO games, the developers will increase the maximum level of characters (to 65) and professions (to 250) and introduce Artifacts as a new level of equipment rarity. On top of that, there will be new attributes, party quests, weaponry (cluster) and character class. You'd also better prepare for a heavily altered Celestial Wilderness.
In addition to this New World Rise of the Angry Earth will bring the game's 3rd season. This means a new season pass and various changes in the battles for influence. Players can also look forward to season events.
More details can be found on the game's official website. If you are considering a return to New World after a long break, pay attention to the system requirements, which have increased slightly since the release.
New World: Rise of the Angry Earth will debut on October 3.
