New Heroine Joins the Cast of Netflix's Witcher Season 2
We got to know another person who will be cast in the second season of Netflix's The Witcher. She will play a new character, but very well known to fans who read Sapkowski's book and played some CD Projekt RED games.
According to Redanian Intelligence, in the second season of The Witcher series we will see Meve of Lyria, called the White Queen. Players unfamiliar with Sapkowski's prose may associate hew with CD Projekt RED's game Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, where she was a playable character.
Meve will be played by Rebecca Hanssen. The actress has previously played in Lore, produced by Amazon, and in the movie titled Tell It to the Bees directed by Annabel Jankel, among others. Hanssen also worked on the production of Enola Holmes, where she was a double of Millie Bobby Brown (interestingly, Henry Cavill, who plays Geralt, also appeared in the movie). Players may associate her with the role of Alfir in Baldur's Gate III.
Work on the second season of The Witcher continues. Just a few days ago, the photos from the set taken in Surrey County, England appeared on the Internet, and Netflix provided a special Christmas trailer for the series.
The Witcher's first season debuted on December 20, 2019. The release date of the second season is not yet known. All previous episodes are available on Netflix.
