Sega has published its annual summary report for the year 2020, thanks to which we got to know how many copies of games from the Yakuza series have been sold in total since its inception (i.e. since 2005). The company confirmed 14 million copies purchased by customers, which is 2 million more than previous year.

These are really satisfactory figures, which prove that the popularity of the series is growing and it is becoming more and more friendly to gamers from around the world. This is probably related not only to the recent release of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, but also to the fact that Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 appeared on the PC in 2018 and 2019, and in 2020 they were also released on Xbox One and, consequently, hit Xbox Game Pass. The above numbers show that Sega's decision to port the titles to a larger number of platforms turned out to be a hit.

Then he interpreted Iranian dramas and the Joker, writing for cinematography journal, which, sadly, no longer exists. His writing credentials include a degree in film studies, but his thesis was strictly devoted to video games. He has been writing for Gamepressure since March 2020, first writing a lot about movies, then in the newsroom, and eventually, he became a specialist in everything. He currently edits and writes articles and features. A long-time enthusiast of the most bizarre indie games and arthouse cinema. He idolizes surrealism and postmodernism. He appreciates the power of absurdity. Which is probably why he also tried soccer refereeing for 2 years (with so-so results). He tends to over-philosophize, so watch out.
