Necesse takes players on an adventure in a procedurally generated world where you can build, quest, and conquer. Whether you choose to go solo or team up with friends, you'll establish settlements, delve into intricate dungeons, confront formidable monsters and bosses, and immerse yourself in a world of mining, crafting, and magical equipment, all while recruiting skilled specialists for your colony. At the moment, the title is only on PC. Many players would like to see it on other platforms as well. Will the game be playable on Xbox, Switch or PS5? Let’s find out.

Necesse – Console (Switch, Xbox, PS5 and PS4) Release

In the modern gaming world, it's common to see many titles being released on multiple platforms simultaneously, especially those with AA and AAA budgets. However, Necesse takes a different approach. Currently, it's exclusively available on PC, offering early access gameplay. While many games eventually make their way to consoles after their full release, the situation is different for Necesse.

The official Discord server features a FAQ section where the developer has addressed several significant player inquiries, including the potential for console versions:

Other platforms? Switch, Xbox, Playstation, Mobile?

I would love to get the game on more platforms. However right now I am 100% focused on the PC version, so don't expect it to happen in the near future. The game now supports full controller support and is verified on Steam Deck.

This implies that gamers may not have the opportunity to play Necesse on consoles in the foreseeable future. Of course, the developer could reconsider this decision down the line, particularly if there's substantial demand from the gaming community. However, ports are probably possible not sooner than at the time of Necesse’s full release on PC.
