Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas - GTA Mod With New Version
The fan project called Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas, which has been in development for almost 20 years, has reached version 1.6. The mod introduces a multiplayer mode to GTA: SA.
GTA Online is a true giant that has entertained millions of players for more than a decade. However, there is a group of fans who stubbornly cling to one of the older installments of the series and have spent the last seventeen years developing an open-source model-based modification called Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas. The project has just received a new version.
True to its title, the modification enhances Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas with an extensive multiplayer mode. Its structure is very flexible. Players setting up servers have full freedom to configure them. As a result, you can find both those focusing on combat, as well as racing or role-playing. The project is also easy to modify, so many of these servers have new maps, vehicles and altered gameplay mechanics.
The latest version of Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas is marked with the number 1.6. It focuses mainly on improving the technical side of the project, fixing many of the problems that have plagued it for years. Engine stability has also been improved, so that large fps drops no longer occur. Several new visual effects have also been introduced (including flares and shadows cast by pedestrians), as well as an additional skin.
The creators are already working on further updates. After bringing the mod's technical layer up to scratch, they will focus on new features and elements, so the next few months promise to be good for fans of Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Recall that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas debuted in October 2004 on the PlayStation 2 console, and we had to wait until June 2005 for the PC version. Despite being eighteen years old, the game still enjoys decent popularity on PC - yesterday's activity record on Steam was 738 players, a result more than double that achieved by the remake released two years ago in the form of GTA: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition.
