„My own voice was driving me insane.” Extremely hard mission from GTA Vice City, but not the one with the helicopter, was impossible for Kent Paul's voice actor

Danny Dyer is an actor known, among other things, for his role as Kent Paul in GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas. The Brit not only lent his voice to the laid-back music band manager with a tendency to get into trouble, but he also eagerly returned to Rockstar Games titles as a player. However, the artist revealed that he had trouble with the mission in which he appeared.

The hardest thing about it is that when you got to my mission is that I couldn't get off my own mission, and my own voice was driving me insane - admitted Danny Dyer in a video on the British GQ channel available on YouTube.

Although the actor doesn't specify, he is most likely talking about the Death Row mission - the only one assigned by Kent Paul in GTA: Vice City. The task is to save Lance Vance, who is being held by Ricardo Diaz's people at a junkyard in the Little Haiti district. For this purpose, we need to get to the location as quickly as possible and kill the opponents, because the protagonist's partner's health bar, which constantly decreases, acts as a time limit. Apparently, Dyer had no problems with the mission with the remote-controlled helicopter (Demolition Man), considered by many people to be the most frustrating challenge in the game. It's also possible that he's referring to the task Back Alley Brawl, in which his character also appears (though not as the client). Nonetheless, it would be a bit odd, as this is one of the early tasks and shouldn't pose significant difficulties for anyone.

The artist admitted that embodying Kent Paul was an incredible experience and at the same time a key moment in his career. He also revealed that he received a salary of 15,000 pounds for his work, which at that time seemed like a decent amount to him. However, the sum proved to be just a fraction of the millions in revenue generated by the games he was involved in.

Danny Dyer also has roles in the EastEnders series and in the films Football Factory and Age of Heroes.
