Mortal Kombat 1 May Feature The Boys' Biggest Psycho
The upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 may offer a fighter from Amazon's popular show. According to unconfirmed reports, the game will feature a character from The Boys.
Warner Bros. will release Mortal Kombat 1 after the summer holidays. Until then, we will see a lot more information about the game. The developers recently released a trailer, confirming the return of more fighters to the series, and now we have received unofficial news of the addition of Homelander to the upcoming fighting game - an iconic character from Amazon's The Boys.
Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1?
It should be emphasized that these reports may not be true, but nevertheless they fire up many fans of the cult fighting game and the aforementioned show.
Homelander's presence in the game "at some point" was revealed by the tiktok account voughtstudios, which released a video announcing the addition of Homelander, Starlight and Black Noir (characters from The Boys) to the fourth season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 (July 12). In response to one of the comments, in which a user inquired about the already suggested cooperation between The Boys and Mortal Kombat, the account's host has revealed that it has been confirmed.
Although such assurances were made directly by the administrators, they cannot be considered an official source of information. First, voughtstudios account on TikTok has not been verified. Secondly, there are no links on both it and its Twitter counterpart to Amazon's show page.
Mortal Kombat is eager to introduce familiar characters
If Homelander does indeed appear in Mortal Kombat 1, he will not be the first iconic character to appear in the series. Recall that already Mortal Kombat 11 (the previous installment of the series) featured Rambo, the Terminator and the Joker, among others. In addition, according to rumors, MK1 may also feature Peacemaker from the DC universe, Conan the Barbarian or Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Official release of Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled for September 19. The game is heading to PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
