Monaco dev present Tooth and Tail, an arcade RTS set in an animal revolution
After adventures of thieves in Monaco, Pocketwatch Games' next project will put players in control of a mouse commander during an animal revolution. Tooth and Tail is an arcade RTS that puts strategic creativity over micro.
The creators of the reward-winning Monaco have released a new trailer of their next project. Tooth and Tail is going to be an arcade RTS set in a world of animal revolution. Mustard-gas skunks, flamethrowing boars, sniping foxes, and militant mice are going to fight tooth and na… tail for supremacy. The team at Pocketwatch Games started working on the game back in early 2014, but they are still not ready to reveal the release date. We only know Tooth and Tail is coming to PC (Windows/Linux) and Mac. Watch the new trailer:
Tooth and Tail offers innovative mechanics when it comes to leading your soldiers. You don’t have direct control over the armies, but instead you assume the role of a banner-wielding commander, who moves around the battlefield, gives out construction orders and rallies the troops on himself. The controls use either a game pad or keybord – in the latter case you walk around with WSAD and use mouse buttons to rally your troops. This way developers wanted to create a creative strategy without forcing players to master uber micro.
Tooth and Tail will offer both single player story campaign and 1v1 or 2v2 multiplayer (either online or local splitscreen). Another noteworthy thing about the game are its pixel art graphics, which match the overall theme.
